No Recipe: An improv cooking workshop starting 1/18
I realized that I forgot to send out a quick reminder this morning: I’m starting a new cohort of No Recipe, my improv cooking workshop series, on Wednesday January 18th. It’s not like most cooking classes in that our goal isn’t to race through a recipe to make something that you’ll probably never make again; it’s to change the way you approach cooking, and to help you find your unique taste or kitchen vibe or whatever you want to call it.
I’ve run this class a few times before, but I’ve had some time to think about ways for you to get even more out of it. We’ll have FUN homework (locating yourself on my cooking alignment chart, little challenges for you to do during the week) and more focus on exploring where you want to get with your cooking and where you are right now.
A week before each class, you’ll get an email with a ton of information about how to use the focus ingredient, and a template recipe that you can use to structure your cooking, or discard completely. Here’s the schedule:
Wednesday, January 18th, 7-8:45pm EST
Focus: STURDY LEAVES - cabbage or radicchio
Wednesday, January 25th, 7-8:45pm EST
Focus: ROOTS - turnips, parsnips, rutabaga, kohlrabi
Wednesday, February 1st, 7-8:45pm EST
Focus: MUSHROOMS
I’ve got more information here: https://readymag.com/u93341639/1206893/ — or, if you’re ready to sign up right now, you can venmo me @kraykray. It’s $75 for all three workshops (if you can’t attend all three but are still interested, let me know — I might add a one-off workshop as well.)
